Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby has to make room for some new hardware in his personal trophy case. Following the Penguins' 3-1 win over the San Jose Sharks in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final on Sunday night Crosby was named the Conn Smythe Trophy winner as the postseason MVP. It is the first Conn Smythe Trophy of his career, and goes with his two MVP awards, two scoring titles, Rocket Richard award, and now his two Stanley Cups. He is also a finalist for Victor Mesa Jersey the MVP award this season. Crosby's numbers were solid this postseason but did not really jump off the page, which makes his win a little bit of a surprise, especially when a player like Phil Ke sel put up better numbers and scored some huge goals on his own. Crosby finished the playoffs with 19 points in 24 games, including four points in the Stanley Cup Final -- all a sists. He a sisted on two goals on Sunday. One of those a sists set up Kris Letang's highlight reel goal in the second period that went in the books as the game-winning goal. He scored three game-winning goals in the Eastern Conference Finals and set up the game-winning goal in overtime of Game 2 of the series. Given the depth of the Penguins' roster and the way so many players contributed, there were no shortage of candidates, from rookie goalie Matt Murray, to Phil Ke sel, to Letang.
