The expectation has been that the and wide receiver Romeo Doubs will part ways this offseason. Doubs is a pending free agent and the to work with and a crowded receivers room that has Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, Dontayvion Wicks, Matthew Golden and Savion Williams all Zach Collins Jersey under contract. But is pumping the brakes a bit on the idea that Doubs is a lock to walk in free agency. Instead, he says the door isn't closed on Doubs coming back and the two sides will have dialogue in the weeks ahead. "The door isn't closed on Doubs in Green Bay. I'm expecting both sides to at least have some dialogue and see if a return makes sense," Fowler reported. Doubs is no doubt a valuable piece in the Packers' offense. He finished last season as the team's leading receiver with 724 yards and was tied for the team lead with six receiving touchdowns. But the Packers are also $1.4 million over the cap entering the offseason and they have to spend what resources they do have wisely. Re-signing Doubs when the position group is already crowded doesn't seem like the best use of those resources, which is why it makes sense to let him walk. For now, we would expect that to be the ultimate outcome, but clearly we can't totally rule out Doubs returning to Green Bay after Fowler's report. More NFL news Gary Trent Jr. Jersey
